About ATTA for Action:

ATTA for Action is an innovative industry endeavor envisioned to create a collaborative platform and Pan Africa network of vetted projects and not-for-profits that bring together travelers, key stakeholders in the tourism sector, non-profit organizations, and local communities. Our goal is to create and more centralized way for the tourism industry to easily promote social and environmental sustainability, ensuring that the benefits of tourism extend to local economies, cultures, and the natural environment.

We invite you to join a movement of mindful giving to demonstrate your brand’s commitment to advocating for people and places in the destinations you operate and promote and create awareness to your travelers for local organizations contributing to high-impact change!

Step #1 Encourage or nominate local not-for-profit projects or organizations, to apply for this new membership, to gain greater exposure and expand relationships through the industry.  This will help them raise funds and awareness for their cause through other industry partners and travelers.

Step #2 You can promote meaningful travel and high-impact journeys for your clients by embedding a spirit of giving and support into the very fabric of your client itineraries. By integrating direct donations to a wider network of localized not-for-profit organizations in each destination seamlessly into your travel offerings, your brand will sincerely be known as a champion for direct support to local not-for-profits, enabling them to continue their vital work in the places you visit. This isn’t just about charity; it’s about weaving a narrative of responsible tourism and tangible support into every adventure.

To begin the process if you are a registered not-for-profit organization just simply fill out this form or forward to a worthy organisation that should apply.

Please ensure your organization or project meets the following criteria before applying:

  • Have operated as a Government Registered NPO for at least 1 year.  
  • Have a live website
  • Produce up-to-date annual reports for public viewing on your website
  • Ability to provide government-recognized tax receipts to donors.  
  • Managed and operated by locally empowered stakeholders.  
  • Have clearly identified ways for tourism-based businesses to support your NPO beyond cash donations only. 
  • Support one or more of ATTA’s 8 ATTA for Action Partner Sustainability Areas.

List two current ATTA members for first and second endorsers/references

Be sure to attach a copy of the receipts that you give donors when they make a cash donation to your organization.

Be sure to list at least one or two ways a tourism-based company can support your organization other than cash donations.
